Aiming to revolutionise the fitness education space and fill a shortage of trainers in South-East Asia, Australian Fitness Academy (AFA) Asia has launched a brand-new Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) course in Singapore, which is the first move that will see the company go global. Based in Melbourne, the organisation has over 30 years’ experience delivering fitness education and now believes it’s time to replicate its successful business model in other regions. AFA has partnered with FITREC to accredit graduates of the CPT course, as qualified Group Exercise Instructors and Personal Trainers.

We’ve set the bar high, but the first discount of 10% kicks in at the six-year mark. Having said this, many of our existing registered members will already qualify for an automatic 10% off their registration fee from this point on. At 10 years, the discount on the registration fee changes to 40%, while from 15 years, the discount on registration is a huge 80%. We hope this shows how serious we are about recognising those who have contributed so long to our industry.
Why change the address to healthypeople.careers? Apart from being a cool new extension that wasn’t available 18 years ago when HealthyPeople first began, it’s a small step towards modifying the site to better assist businesses outside Australia, who have enquired about recruitment services. For those heading to healthypeople.com.au out of habit (or autofill), don’t stress. All existing links will redirect to the new healthypeople.careers address. #winning
In an industry made up of many sole traders, it occurred to us that having a link from your FITREC profile to your bookings platform is probably a really good idea. And so we made that happen. This means that you, as a FITREC-registered professional, can now add a booking link to your FITREC profile. PLUS, we’ve also added the ability to include links to your social media pages on your FITREC profile.
